Majlis Daerah Pasir Mas

Majlis Daerah Pasir Mas (MDPM) adalah salah sebuah daripada 12 buah Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan di Negeri Kelantan termasuk Majlis Perbandaran Kota Bharu. Ianya ditubuhkan pada 01 Januari 1979 di bawah Akta Kerajaan Tempatan 1976 (171) dengan Warta Kerajaan P.U.7/79.

Luas Jajahan Pasir Mas ialah 577 km persegi dan lingkungan kawasan MDPM merangkumi keluasan kira-kira 139 km persegi. Hasil dari percantuman Penguasa-Penguasa Tempatan yang sedia ada iaitu:

1. Lembaga Bandaran Pasir Mas
2. Majlis Tempatan Rantau Panjang
3. Majlis Tempatan To’Uban
4. Majlis Tempatan Gual Periok

Kesemua kawasan tersebut dan beberapa pusat pertubuhan baru diletak di bawah satu kuasa iaitu MDPM dan cawangan di Rantau Panjang.

The Pasir Mas District Council (MDPM) is one of the 12 Local Authorities in the State of Kelantan including the Kota Bharu Municipal Council. It was established on 01 January 1979 under the Local Government Act 1976 (171) with Government Gazette P.U.7/79.

The area of Pasir Mas District is 577 km square and the area of the MDPM covers an area of approximately 139 km square. The result of the merger of the existing Local Authorities which are:

1. Pasir Mas Town Board
2. Long Range Local Council
3. To'Uban Local Council
4. Gual Periok Local Council

All those areas and some new organization centers are placed under one authority, which is the MDPM and the branch in Rantau Panjang.
